A Masterpiece Reimagined

The English Department at Govt. Islamia Graduate College for Women, Eid Gah Road, Faisalabad, recently staged a riveting enactment of Henrik Ibsen’s masterpiece, A Doll’s House. Held on April 30, 2026, the performance offered a profound exploration of societal constraints and the relentless quest for individual identity.
The occasion was graced by Principal Prof. Dr. Naheed Qadir and Vice Principal Prof. Shabnam Noor. We were further honored by distinguished guests, including Miss Rashida Zafar (Former Principal, Govt. Madina Town College), Prof. Mrs. Attiya Basharat (Former Vice Principal, GIGCW), Mrs. Anjum Afshan, and Dr. Shahla Nigar.
Highlights of the Event:
Artistic Excellence: The Principal and guests lauded the cast for their sophisticated stage presence and eloquent dialogue delivery.
Leadership & Vision: Prof. Dr. Naheed Qadir extended high praise to Ms. Tayyaba Fatima (HOD, English), Mrs. Sumaira Liaqat (Director), and Mrs. Sumbul Faisal (Incharge, Co-Curricular) and her whole team for executing such a high-caliber production.
