overnment Islamia Graduate College for Women, Faisalabad Observes Kashmir Exploitation Day with Flag Hoisting and Solidarity Rally
5 August 2019 remains one of the darkest days in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, when the Indian government revoked the special constitutional status of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. The day is remembered by many in Pakistan as a symbol of the hardships, sacrifices, and resilience of the Kashmiri people.
On Wednesday, 5 August 2026, Government Islamia Graduate College for Women, Faisalabad observed Kashmir Exploitation Day (Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir) by organizing a flag-hoisting ceremony followed by a solidarity and protest rally.
The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Professor Bushra Parveen, Director Colleges, Faisalabad Division. She joined the Principal, Professor Dr. Naheed Qadir, along with the college faculty and students, in hoisting the national flag.
During the ceremony, students enthusiastically chanted patriotic slogans including "Pakistan Zindabad" and "Kashmir Banega Pakistan" to express their solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
Professor Bushra Parveen led a special prayer for Pakistan's peace, unity, and prosperity, as well as for the courage, resilience, and freedom of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing the students, she said:
"On the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day, the entire nation of Pakistan stands in solidarity with the people of Kashmir. Our voice against oppression and injustice will always remain strong because the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people are a bright chapter in history, and we remain committed to the belief that one day Kashmir will become part of Pakistan."
